SCO Film Festival: Hema Malini says her Indo-Russian film Alibaba Aur 40 Chor brought her fame; says, “Due to that film, several people recognise me”

Hema Malini is one such beautiful actress who had won several hearts with her acting, charm and talent. She has served many iconic roles and had made her mark among the top actresses of Bollywood. She is known as the Dream Girl of Hindi film industry. Hema Malini, a seasoned politician and actor, was present at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Film Festival's opening ceremony on Friday where the actress discussed the value of film festivals and how they aided international ties. Talking about how this festival can prove to be a platform for opportunities to get exchanged among several parties, she said, "A lot can happen due to this Festival. This is SCO Film Festival. Participants have come from various countries. This will form a good reserve".  Further while recalling the time spent in her Indo-Russian film Alibaba Aur 40 Chor she said, "I had done an India-Russian collaboration film in the late 70s - Alibaba Aur 40 Chor. Due to that film, several people recognise me. It was a hit there. I want that through this Film Festival, filmmakers once again collaborate with us and make film."  Hema Malini appeared in the 1980 film Alibaba Aur 40 Chor alongside Dharmendra, Zeenat Aman, and Prem Chopra, among others.  The actress tied knot with Dharmendra in 1980. The couple had done several movies together and the duo was loved by everyone on the screen. They have two children, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol.  Hema Malini had played small roles in Pandava Vanavasam and Idhu Sathiyam.
