Maniesh Paul thanks Rafuchakkar creators Arjun and Kartik for offering him a role with different shades; says, “They create not just stories but unforgettable experiences”

Maniesh Paul recently got a chance to play a character with various shades in the Jio Cinema web series Rafuchakkar, for which he also received appreciation. The actor credits the show’s creators Arjun Singgh Baran and Kartik Nishandar for giving him a role he has never played before.

Maniesh said in a statement, “Arjun sir and Kartik create not just stories but unforgettable experiences and Rafuchakkar is no exception. They offered me a role I have never been offered before. They challenged me to reinvent myself and guided me through a creative journey I will never forget.”

Directed by Ritam Srivastava, Rafuchakkar is about a man who is accused of carrying out various unusual scams in order to make quick money. The show also stars Priya Bapat, Sushant Singh, Aksha Pardasany, Aakash Dahiya, Vikram Kochhar, among others.

Maniesh is also thankful to the show and their makers for helping him come out of his image of a comedian. “I am really overwhelmed with the response so far. Until now, people have liked me for my comedy, but thanks to these two extraordinary creators and the director, Ritam sir, I have been able to portray a character which has so many different shades. Their vision has made Rafuchakkar into the clutter-breaker that it is today. As actors, we want to explore all kinds of roles, but if we don’t get the right opportunities or come across creators like Arjun sir and Kartk, there’s little we can do.”

Before Rafuchakkar, Maniesh was seen in the movie Jugjugg Jeeyo. Directed by Raj Mehta, the movie also starred Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, Neetu Singh and Prajakta Koli.
