Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal's production Girls Will Be Girls wins Grand Jury Prize at Indian Film Festival of L.A; actress pens a heartwarming note

Actor Richa Chadha took to Instagram to express her heartfelt gratitude to the team behind her production company's film Girls Will Be Girls after it won the Grand Jury Prize at the Indian Film Festival of L.A. (IFFLA).

Richa Chadha’s Poignant Message For Girls Will Be Girls Team  In a heartfelt caption, Chadha praised the film's director, cast, and crew. "Before the day ends, wanna express my gratitude to the team of 'Girls Will Be Girls' - this film is a gift that keeps on giving! We will always be proud of it!" she wrote. She continued to highlight the film's successful festival run, mentioning its previous Grand Jury Prize wins at the Transylvania International Film Festival and the Biarritz Film Festival in France.

Richa then went on to express her appreciation for specific individuals involved in the film. She lauded director Shuchi Talati, calling her "stuff of legend," and praised lead actress Preeti Panigrahi's breakthrough performance, which earned a Special Jury Award for Acting at the Sundance Film Festival.

She also acknowledged co-star Kani Kusruti's recent Grand Prix win for another film, "#ALLWeImagineAsLight," further emphasizing her successful year. Chadha additionally expressed her appreciation for the film's supporting cast and casting director, Dilip Khussro. Richa Chadha Wants To Bringing Girls Will Be Girls Home While expressing her excitement about the win, Chadha also hinted at the challenges of travel due to her upcoming parenthood with husband Ali Fazal. However, she reassured fans, stating, "Very soon, we hope to bring this lovely film to India, it is an Indian film after all and we want our people to see it." She concluded by mentioning the film's music composer, Sneha Khanwalkar, and expressed her gratitude to the entire team.

Speaking of the professional front, besides Girls Will Be Girls, Richa is also making headlines for her performance in Heeramandi. Currently, the actress is in the third trimester of her pregnancy. Richa and Ali will be soon welcoming their first child.
