Bhagyashree REACTS to Maine Pyar Kiya re-releasing on its 35th anniversary: “It was life-changing for me in every sense”

Salman Khan and Bhagyashree's iconic 1989 film, Maine Pyar Kiya, is set to make a return to theaters on its 35th anniversary on August 23. As anticipation for the film's re-release grows, Bhagyashree has expressed her excitement about the opportunity to introduce a new generation to the timeless love story.

Bhagyashree REACTS to Maine Pyar Kiya Re-Releasing  In an interview with News18, Bhagyashree shared her enthusiasm for the film's potential impact on today's audience. "To think that a whole new generation will experience the magic of Maine Pyar Kiya onscreen is just incredible!" she exclaimed. "It's a timeless love story and to have it connect with young hearts today is like watching the film come alive again."

Reflecting on the film's impact on her life, Bhagyashree recalled the overwhelming buzz and excitement surrounding its release. "It was life-changing for me in every sense," she said. "Personally, it made me a household name, and professionally, it opened up doors I never imagined." The actress expressed her gratitude for the emotional connection she has formed with audiences through the film, a bond that continues to endure even after three decades. Bhagyashree Calls Maine Pyar Kiya “Timeless Classic” While the prospect of a modern-day remake of Maine Pyar Kiya might be tempting, Bhagyashree believes that the original film holds a special place in the hearts of audiences and should remain untouched. "I think some stories are timeless and Maine Pyar Kiya is one of them," she explained. "However, there's also something sacred about the original. While it would be exciting to see how a modern version would look, I personally feel that the magic of the original should remain untouched. Some classics are best left as they are,” she added. 

Maine Pyar Kiya marked Bhagyashree's Bollywood debut and played a pivotal role in launching her acting career. The film's re-release is expected to evoke nostalgia among fans and introduce it to a new audience.
