Varun Dhawan on being a part of Border 2: “Very special moment in my career”

Actor Varun Dhawan has announced his involvement in the highly anticipated sequel to the war film, Border. The news, shared on social media, has sent fans into a frenzy as they anticipate the return of the epic saga, Border 2.

“I was just a kid in class four when I went to Chandan cinema and saw Border. And it made such a big impact,” Dhawan wrote in a heartfelt note. “I still remember the sense of national pride we all felt in the hall when we saw JP sir’s Border.”

The actor's connection to the original film is evident in his excitement for this new project. “To play a part in Border 2, produced by J P sir and Bhushan Kumar, is a very, very special moment in my career,” he added. “And I get to work with Sunny Paaji so that makes it all the more special.”

Border 2 will be directed by Anurag Singh, known for his work on films like Kesari, Punjab ‘84, and Jatt & Juliet. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, the film is slated for a grand release on January 23, 2026.
