Alia Bhatt reveals she makes stories about Shaheen Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor to entertain Raha: “It’s pretty special to be a storyteller for your child”
Despite her hectic life as both an actor, entrepreneur and mother, Alia Bhatt ensures she spends quality time with her daughter Raha, fully embracing motherhood. She often shares touching moments and parenting insights she’s gained or revised along the way. Recently, the first-time mom revealed she's reached a phase where she frequently invents new stories to keep her little one entertained.
In the latest episode of her chat show Spill The Beans, hosted for her sustainable clothing brand Ed-a-Mamma, National Award-winning actor Alia Bhatt sat down with fellow mothers to explore various aspects of parenting. Alia shared that, much to her daughter Raha’s delight, she even weaves stories featuring her husband, actor Ranbir Kapoor. “I’m at that stage now where I make up stories for Raha. She’ll suddenly ask, ‘Mumma, tell me papa’s story,’ so I’ll create one about Ranbir. Then she’ll say, ‘Tell me Tanna’s story’ that’s what she calls my sister, Shaheen Bhatt.”
The Jigra actor shared, “I’m constantly coming up with stories and getting really creative. I say random, magical things, and then, within two lines, she’s onto the next story. It’s pretty special to be a storyteller for your child.”
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor married on April 14, 2022, and welcomed their daughter Raha on November 6 that same year. She’ll celebrate her second birthday next Wednesday.
Professionally, Alia recently appeared in Vasan Bala’s action thriller Jigra. Up next, she’ll join the YRF spy universe, starring in Alpha, directed by Shiv Rawail, known for The Railway Men on Netflix. The film also features Sharvari.
