He revealed that he watched I Want To Talk with his daughter just weeks before her wedding, marking their “last movie date” together. In his post, he expressed how the experience was emotionally overwhelming.

For Kashyap, the film resonated deeply, and he felt a personal connection to its themes of family and relationships. He also praised the powerful performances, particularly that of Abhishek Bachchan, calling it his “career-best”. Kashyap continued: "Like Arjun Sen, we all have our personal marathons, and how unintrusively the filmmaker captures it, armed with a career-best performance of @bachchan (he fully has now come into his own) and the two powerhouses Reeya’s @ahillyeah and the little one who I don’t know."

Directed by Shoojit Sircar, I Want To Talk tells the story of an NRI father who struggles to balance his role as a single parent while navigating the evolving relationship with his daughter. Starring Abhishek Bachchan in the lead role, the film also features Pearle Dey, Ahilya Bambroo, Jayant Kripalani, Kristin Goddard, and Johny Lever.
